The Seica Pilot V8 Electronics Technician is responsible for programming, operating, maintaining, and supporting the Seica Pilot V8 Flying Probe Test System to perform advanced electronic circuit board testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. This role ensures high-quality, efficient testing of PCBs and supports production, repair, and R&D teams by providing accurate fault analysis and test data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Program Development:
o Develop Seica board programs including PCB layouts, component locations, Bill of materials, probe locations and test routines for new boards to be tested or reverse engineered.
o Debug test routines for existing and new programs.
o Develop new test strategies and enhance existing test programs.
o Evaluate existing test coverage and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Operate the Seica V8A Tester:
o Set up and run flying probe tests on various printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies.
o Load and modify test programs according to work instructions and engineering requirements.
• Perform Diagnostics:
o Analyze test results, identify faults, and generate detailed test reports.
o Troubleshoot failed boards down to component level as needed.
• Maintenance and Calibration:
o Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on the Seica V8A system to ensure optimal performance.
o Assist with periodic calibration and system updates in coordination with the engineering team and Seica support.
• Documentation:
o Accurately log test results, defect data, and repair information in the company’s tracking system.
o Maintain test fixtures, adapters, and related documentation.
o Write test procedures including operation, troubleshooting and maintenance procedures needed for the flying probe system.
• Team Collaboration:
o Coordinate with production, repair, and quality teams to meet throughput and quality targets.
o Assist in training other team members on Seica operation best practices.

Qualifications:
• Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience:
o 1–3 years’ experience in PCB testing, electronics diagnostics, or flying probe test systems (Seica experience highly preferred).
o Familiarity with interpreting schematics, test documentation, and component-level troubleshooting.
• Skills:
o Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
o Working knowledge of electronics test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
o Understanding of PC-based software and test program editing.
o Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Work Conditions:
• Work is primarily performed in an electronics production or repair lab environment.
• May require standing for extended periods and handling delicate electronic components.
• Occasional interaction with vendor support (e.g., Seica) for advanced troubleshooting or training.
