Commercial Kitchen Cleaning Technician

Nesco Resource i s sourcing for a Commercial Kitchen Cleaning Technician for a client in Madison Heights, MI. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity where technicians provide filtration services for deep fryer cooking oil using a vacuum-based cleaning system at commercial kitchens.

Technicians will be responsible for loading company vans with necessary equipment and oil containers, driving designated routes, and servicing kitchen fryers according to schedule. This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work independently, and strong customer service skills.

Shift:

• Monday – Friday (10-12 hour shifts)

• Start time: 5:00 AM

• Occasional Saturday work depending on coverage needs

Pay Rate:

• $20.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Arrive at the warehouse in Madison Heights at 5:00 AM

• Load van with equipment and oil containers

• Follow scheduled appointments and work routes efficiently

• Clean commercial kitchen fryers using specialized equipment

• Accurately record job details using a smartphone app

• Maintain company vehicle and ensure proper handling of all equipment

• Manage inventory of supplies and materials on the company truck

• Communicate effectively with management and customers

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (No DUI, reckless driving, or excessive incidents)

• Drug screen and background check

• Reliable transportation to arrive on time at 5:00 AM in the 14 Mile & John R area

• Physical ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly and push/pull heavy equipment

• Proficiency with smartphones , GPS navigation, and mobile applications

• Commitment to safety protocols including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently while maintaining communication with management

• Ability to work in various conditions , including:

  • Hot kitchen environments

  • Exposure to oil and messiness

  • Physical demands that may result in muscle soreness initially

  • Outdoor weather challenges (loading/unloading in winter, summer heat, rain, etc.)
