Maintenance Manager

Allegria Village, a premier senior living community located in Dearborn, is currently seeking a hands-on, experienced Maintenance Director to join our Independent Living Team.

This is a working Director role - in addition to overseeing the maintenance team, you will be expected to actively participate in daily maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure the highest standard of care for our facility and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of maintenance staff.

• Partner with the Director of Building Services to evaluate team performance and provide coaching or corrective action as needed.

• Take a lead-by-example approach , performing hands-on maintenance tasks alongside staff.

• Supervise day-to-day maintenance operations, with an emphasis on in-house repairs to reduce reliance on outside vendors.

• Respond to and resolve resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.

• Ensure apartment units are rent-ready quickly and thoroughly for new residents.

• Participate in the on-call rotation to support after-hours and emergency needs.

• Oversee the upkeep and functionality of facility fixtures, equipment, and systems .

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Supervisor (preferably in residential, senior living, or hospitality settings)
• Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, landscaping and general building repairs.
• Familiarity with swimming pools and cooling towers is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, while also being a dependable hands-on contributor.
• Organized, responsive, and committed to maintaining a safe and well-kept environment

Position Details:

• This is a salaried position (not hourly)
• Full-time role with potential after-hours responsibilities as part of the on-call rotation.
