Position Description:
We are looking for a Senior Crew Chief to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Flint office. Candidates must have a high school diploma, but an associates degree or higher is preferred. A minimum of five years related experience of land and/or construction survey is required, but eight or more years is preferred. A valid driver's license and experience with Survey equipment is also required. Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work well with others.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivisions, construction stakeouts, etc.
- Interpret maps, plats, construction drawings and specifications
- Oversee the daily operation of a survey crew
- Document work performed and sketches
- Adhere to company standards for processing and storing data
- Perform various survey calculations
- Organize and maintain survey documentation
- Operate and maintain survey equipment
- Communicate project status to Project Managers and clients
- Research project information at the Registrar of Deeds
- Prepare forms and other paperwork in a timely manner
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree or higher is preferred
Skills/Experience:
- 5 or more years of land and/or construction survey experience is required
- 8 or more years of related experience is preferred
- Valid Driver’s license is required
- Survey equipment (Trimble) experience is preferred
