Specialty: o Gastroenterologist- Physician (MD/DO) Coverage Needs: o Reason: Vacant Position- need of a GI Hospitalist Locum that can cover 1/3/26 - 1/10/26. They will need to orient on 1/2/26. The candidate must have an active Michigan license. o Possible ongoing coverage. Shifts: 1/19 @ 7a 1/26 @ 7a 2/2 @ 7a 2/9 @ 7a 2/16 @ 7a 2/23 @ 7a 3/2 @ 7a 3/9 @ 7a 3/16 @ 7a - 3/23 @7a Orientation would need to be 1/16. Call: o Yes- 7am-7am Census: o Varies Support Staff: o MA, RN, NP/PA Procedures: o o Case Logs (Required Previous Experience): o All applicants must be able to demonstrate that he or she has provided inpatient or consultative services for at least 24 patients in the past 12 months and documented in that time he or she has had the following minimal endoscopic experience within the past 12 months: o A. Diagnostic EGD: 100 procedures o B. Total Colonoscopy: 100 Procedures o C. Snare polypectomy: 20 Procedures o D. Nonvariceal hemostasis (upper and lower): 10 active bleeders and total of 20 procedures o E. Variceal hemostasis: 5 active bleeders and a total of 15 procedures o F. Esophageal dilation with guide wire: 15 procedures o G. Flexible sigmoidoscopy: 25 procedures o H. PEG: 10 procedures o I. Diagnostic ERCP: 75 Procedures o J. Therapeutic ERCP: 25 procedures (includes 20 sphincterotomies and 5 stent placements) o K. Tumor ablation: 20 procedures o L. Pneumatic dilation for achalasia: 5 procedures o M. Esophageal stent placement: EMR: o Epic/Dragon Board Certification: o Board Certified/Board Eligible Travel: o Hospital will cover. Credentialing timeline: o Expedited Onboarding Requirements: o Board Certified/Board Eligible o BLS o Michigan Licensed only due to timeframe
