Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a significant impact supporting K-12 students as a School Social Worker in a dynamic Special Education district near Warren, MI. This contract position offers you the opportunity to make a real difference across both the Extended School Year (ESY) program and the regular school year (NSY), working exclusively onsite. You'll collaborate with dedicated educational teams and help ensure student success through the vital services you provide.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver supportive counseling, crisis intervention, and resource linkage for students K-12
• Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and participate in IEP meetings
• Serve as a liaison among school, family, and external mental health/community agencies
• Create a supportive, inclusive environment tailored to students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other support staff
• Document all interactions and maintain accurate records in accordance with district guidelines

Desired Background and Qualifications:

• Active School Social Work (310) certification required (please submit a copy when applying)
• Prior experience in a Special Education setting or working with students with diverse needs preferred
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes and school climate
• Must be able to work exclusively onsite throughout assignment duration

Assignment Highlights:

• ESY: June 30, 2026, to August 6, 2026 (up to 25 hours/week)
• NSY: August 17, 2026, to June 11, 2027 (up to 35 hours/week)
