We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various automotive repair tasks. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Pay is negotiable and will depend on licenses/certifications held as well as experience.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues across various systems including electrical, powertrain, and mechanical components.
• Read and comprehend codes while using necessary scanners.
• Execute repairs and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, timing changes, and suspension work.
• Interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members on larger repair projects.

Experience

• Proven mechanic experience in an automotive repair environment is essential.
• Experience working with engines, shocks & struts, and general vehicle maintenance is required.
• Knowledge of auto estimating processes is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
• Familiarity with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus.

We are currently a small, close-knit team, and maintaining our positive, collaborative work environment is very important to us. This role offers plenty of room for growth as our business continues to expand. Because much of our work focuses on Honda, Toyota, Audi, and Subaru vehicles, strong knowledge of these makes is certainly a plus. Experience with transmissions and deeper engine work is an added bonus even though those jobs are less common here. In addition to mechanical skills, the position involves some parts pricing and ordering in coordination with our inventory manager to help keep projects on track.
