SAP BASIS Project manager
Akkodis is seeking an SAP BASIS Project manager for a Contract with a client in Benton Harbor, MI (Hybrid). This role requires deep expertise in SAP upgrades, migrations, and high‑availability environments while overseeing daily system operations and cross‑team collaboration.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
SAP BASIS Project manager job responsibilities include:
Lead daily SAP Basis operations including system monitoring, performance tuning, upgrades, patches, and system refreshes.
Manage complex SAP landscapes (ECC, BW, CRM, SCM, SLT, PO, Solution Manager, Fiori, GRC, HANA) and ensure high system availability and compliance.
Oversee and coordinate critical SAP activities such as migrations, upgrades, kernel updates, and cloud/hybrid integrations.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve cross‑functional technical issues and support audits (SOX, ITGC).
Partner with leadership and stakeholders to align SAP Basis strategy, project goals, risks, and delivery expectations.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and escalation support to onsite and offshore Basis teams.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
12+ years of SAP Basis delivery and project management experience.
Extensive hands‑on expertise across SAP landscapes including ECC, BW, CRM, SCM, PO, Solution Manager, Fiori, GRC, and HANA with strong experience in upgrades, migrations, and cloud/hybrid hosting.
Proven leadership in managing complex SAP projects, driving cross‑functional coordination, ensuring system availability/compliance, and influencing technical decision‑making at customer leadership levels.
