Business Analyst
The person in this position must understand and have experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to manage work requests supporting operational needs for web applications, as well as gathering requirements for project initiatives. 90% of your time in this role would be as the liaison between the technical team and the business client. This is a senior position, so leadership skills are essential – you’ll need to be able to delegate tasks to the team, lead, and communicate with other business analysts, as well as being comfortable leading requirement meetings with business and technical resources.
Tasks:
- Facilitate meetings with the technical team and business client
- Gather requirements and project specifications by leading requirement sessions independently
- Maintain backlog of work items in Azure DevOps
- Operate in a hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) environment and actively manage requirements, change requests and testing needs
- Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication between business product owner and development team associated with the Change Management lifecycle
- Track sprints and ticket progress in Azure DevOps
- Ensure the team is adhering to change management policies
- Act as a liaison with Client’s auditors
- Maintain documentation on the project SharePoint Site.
- Be a self-starter, detail oriented and a critical thinker
- Provide management with information such as project status reports and resource demand projections
- Work with team, management, and business partners to continuously improve the process
5+ years:
- Exposure to complex IT web applications (within last 5 years)
- Gathering and documenting business requirements
- Leading meetings, training & information sessions, and adjusting communication to fit the audience
- Delivering oral and written reports and presentations
- Proficiently working with MS Office
- Working as liaison between development team and project manager or business client within a software development project
- Using Azure DevOps, including creating User Stories and queries
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
1+ year:
- Working with Federal, State, or local grant management programs.
- Developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
- Working with MS SharePoint
- Utilizing Project Management skills, knowledge in project management methodologies
- Utilizing Power Platform services including Power BI and Power Automate
