Purpose of the role
This position will leverage deep technical knowledge with strong human relations and business skills to lead technical presales of our Virtual Manufacturing (VM) or Casting solutions from execution opportunity qualification to final sale.
Preferred location: Greater Detroit, MI
Responsibilities- Work with sales and marketing teams to identify and qualify new business opportunities for casting solutions and strategize with regional sales managers and marketing teams annually to create targeted sales plans focused on industries and event planning.
- Collaborate with sales managers to qualify opportunities in key industries, conduct discovery sessions to address critical customer challenges related to casting processes, deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase how ProCAST and Virtual Manufacturing simulation solutions solve problems and add value, co-develop customer success plans for software and service offerings, and document potential value for customers.
- Develop a deep understanding of ESI core solutions, functionalities, and applications while staying up to date on industry trends, competitive products, and advancements in casting simulation technologies, in order to offer expert advice to both customers and the sales team.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers as a trusted technical advisor and collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience and foster customer loyalty.
- Engage in technical discussions with customers, respond promptly to inquiries, provide accurate and actionable answers to technical questions throughout the sales process, and address and resolve technical concerns raised by customers to ensure satisfaction and confidence in casting simulation solutions. Use ProCAST and FEM mesh to design and present casting process simulations that showcase ROI and performance improvements.
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5-10 years of industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of FEA and related technologies, including but not limited to Virtual Manufacturing.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for providing exceptional service and building lasting relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, persuasive language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address customers’ challenges creatively.
- Excellent oral and verbal communication in English. Additional languages are strongly appreciated
- Proven track record of successfully delivering technical presentations and demonstrations to clients.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Preferred Skills
- Hands on experience with ProCAST in any casting process (Sand Casting, High Pressure Die Casting, Semi Solid Casting or Investment casting). Experience with other casting simulation or analysis tools such as MAGMASOFT, EKK, or similar software.
- Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing processes, particularly in casting and metallurgy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret simulation results effectively.
- Strong project management capabilities to prioritize tasks and manage multiple customer engagements efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in presenting technical solutions in customer-facing roles, showcasing the ability to build trust and confidence.
