After Hours Crisis Clinician
- Hourly Rate: starting at $29.25/hour up to $40.37/hour - placement above minimum hourly rate is based on experience.

- Master’s degree in a discipline that supports public and third-party reimbursement, from an accredited college or university with one-year relevant experience required.
- State of Michigan professional license or certification at the master’s level required.
- LMSW or LPC preferred.
- CAADC preferred.
- Public behavioral health system experience preferred.
- Professional experience working with children with severe emotional disturbance preferred.
- Certification in relevant evidence-based practices preferred.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/co-occurring disorders/substance use disorders valued.
- Provide crisis intervention, screening and response for children, adults, and families according to accreditation, funding, regulatory and best practice standards.
- Provide crisis counseling and appropriate follow-up referrals for urgent calls transferred from agency crisis screening service
- Screen for higher levels of care for mental health and substance use disorders when necessary.
- Assist in securing placement for individuals authorized for higher level of care
- Provide consultation on crisis cases when requested by hospitals, law enforcement or other treatment providers
- Utilize evidence-based practices in provision of crisis services.
- Assure those in need receive the right service, in the right place and at the right time.
- Effectively and efficiently link those in crisis with the appropriate level of care
- Document services according to established quality and timeliness standards.
- Coordinate services internally and externally to assure effective and comprehensive response for those in crisis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to structure workload while accommodating unexpected situations and client needs
- Function in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Ability to maintain focus and calm in crisis situations
One part-time position (24 hours/week).
