Position Summary:
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.

- Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards.

Essential Job Functions:
- Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
- Ensure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs.
- Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity, including Computer Assisted Ordering.
- Check condition, the accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of the product received.
- Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork.
- Ensure inventory management for all delivered products.
- Ensure all vendors follow company policies and procedures.
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained, and temperature logs are maintained.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management.
- Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify the appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
- Ensure maximum security of the receiving area.
- Develop and train DSD Receiver backup.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.

- Ability to handle stressful situations.
