Maintenance/Machine Repair Journeyman

Plan procedures, install, repair and maintain a wide variety of secondary equipment such as drill presses, milling machines, turntable assembly fixtures, air, hydraulic and mechanical presses, automated assembly fixtures, bending and forming equipment, turret lathes, and other hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repairs and maintenance generally major and difficult in nature involving such things as bearings, boring and bushing, sleeving, scrapping of ways, polishing, etc. Diagnose trouble, disassemble, determine extent of repairs necessary, estimate labor time, select repair procedure, requisition or make up repair parts, assemble, test equipment and adjust.
Rebuild equipment or remove and replace worn parts.
Operate machine tools, perform necessary welding or brazing required in repairing equipment.
Assist in determination of preventative maintenance schedules and oiling and greasing schedules.
Works from handbook diagrams, drawings, sketches, templates or verbal instruction.
Instruct or assist helper or lower-classed machine repair personnel. Occasionally assist set-up and operations personnel with machine and tooling problems.
Perform other necessary duties as required including all maintenance and electrical functions.
*Applicant must be able to provide Journeyman's card or 8 years of documented experience from previous or current employer.
