Regional Nursing Supervisor
New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.
Location: Wayne and Washtenaw County locations (Livonia 5 Mile, Livonia Schoolcraft, Southgate and Ann Arbor)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Reports To: Director of Nursing/ Associate Director of Nursing / Chief Medical Officer / Medical Director
Compensation: Salary Employee. Commensurate with experience.
Position Summary: The Regional Nursing Supervisor oversees nursing operations and supports the supervision and development of nursing staff in collaboration with the Director of Nursing. This role works closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care across all services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the NOFC mission, values, and culture while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with staff and clients at all times.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to nursing staff within the assigned region.
- Promote and implement evidence-based nursing practices to support quality client care.
- Coordinate nursing schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage for assigned regional sites, both onsite and remotely.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of nursing staff as directed.
- Demonstrate initiative and accountability by identifying opportunities to strengthen nursing operations and team performance, including regular travel to regional sites to provide support, education, and mentorship.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with directors, supervisors, and staff across all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with laboratory services and Front Desk/Medical Assistant staff to oversee urine drug screen (UDS) collection processes, ensuring accurate tracking, timely processing, regulatory compliance, proper documentation, and effective cross-department communication.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment at assigned sites.
- Participate in shared on-call coverage for nursing and medical concerns outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Collaborate with site supervisors to address safety, compliance, and environmental concerns.
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Fulfill all required initial and ongoing training and professional development requirements.
- Attend leadership and departmental meetings as assigned.
- Monitor and respond to email communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Staff are expected to maintain a professional appearance and be prepared for active engagement with consumers.
- This role requires extended periods of remaining in a stationary position during HIPAA-compliant telehealth and in-person sessions and requires the ability to perform physical activities such as bending and reaching. Reasonable accommodations can be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions as needed.
- The position involves prolonged active listening and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in using computers, phones, and office equipment for documentation and telehealth purposes is necessary. This includes but is not limited to Office 365 and Electronic Medical Record systems.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; candidates with an associate degree and equivalent experience will be considered.
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities required.
- 1-2 years of nursing experience required.
- 2 years of clinical experience as a site nurse at NOFC highly preferred.
- Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
- Basic Life certification required within 3 months of hire.
