Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Interpret complex GD&T specifications and translate them into effective CMM measurement routines.
• Execute precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using CMM equipment.
• Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program errors, measurement discrepancies, and equipment issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize part inspection processes and quality standards.
• Maintain CMM software, databases, and ensure proper program version control.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D models.
• Hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining CMM equipment.
• Strong understanding of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and statistical process control (SPC).

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software for fixture design and model manipulation.
• Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software for data analysis.
• Ability to design and/or fabricate custom CMM fixtures.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA) for automation or data processing.
