• Responsible for contacting customers via telephone, facsimile, or letter in order to collect invoices for equipment, parts, and service orders.
• Corresponds with new customers requesting financial statements and trade references.
• Contacts trade references provided by new customers and procure D&B reports.
• Prepares various reports for management on status of collection of problem accounts.
• Obtain, prepare, research, monitor and implement credit memos on accounts to ensure timely and accurate crediting of customer accounts.
• Performs somewhat complex and diversified special projects, research on accounts and other duties as assigned by the General Accounting Manager.

SECONDARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares daily bank deposits and posts daily cash receipts to accounts receivable system.
• Maintains daily log of cash receipts; reconcile at end of the month.
• May substitute for other positions including; billing specialist, other accounting staff or receptionist.
• May assist in maintaining International letters of credit, documentation and processing of shipments to foreign accounts.

WORK DEMANDS:

• Willing and able to work at a work station in a stationary position for long periods of time.
• Willing and able to ascend, descend and claim stairs as required to complete assignments.
• Willing and able to work flexible hours and weekends.
• Willing and able to operate a vehicle for travel between Thermotron facilities or offices for meetings and other events.
