Occupational Therapist – Detroit, MI

$8,000 First-Year Bonus
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (Light Full-Time – 4 Days/Week)
No weekends, holidays, or on-call
Territory: Detroit and surrounding areas (local travel required)

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide in-home therapy services to patients in the Detroit, MI area. This role plays a vital part in helping patients regain independence and function in the comfort of their own homes.

⚕️ Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of patient functional and cognitive status
• Develop and implement treatment plans with short- and long-term goals
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, equipment use, and self-care techniques
• Instruct on orthotic/prosthetic use and assistive/adaptive devices; fabricate or customize as needed
• Reassess and update treatment plans based on progress
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation and timely submission of required paperwork
• Communicate regularly with physicians about patient progress and recommended adjustments
• Coordinate outpatient OT services when necessary
• Provide guidance to other members of the care team on therapy techniques and equipment
• Participate in in-services, case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities
• Comply with agency documentation standards and policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current OT license in the state of Michigan
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience (home health, hospital, SNF, or LTC preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation for local travel
• Proficient in EMR systems and mobile technology
• Strong self-management, organization, and communication skills

Compensation

• Pay-Per-Visit model: $50–$56 per visit (rate varies based on service type and experience)
• $8,000 Bonus for successful completion of first-year milestones
