About the Opportunity
Help us succeed by doing your part as a member of our inspection department as a Part Inspector . A Part Inspector checks parts from the beginning to the end of the manufacturing process as needed.
Major Duties of a Part Inspector
- Ability to read blueprints and part process drawings.
- Read and use tooling / gaging required to inspect parts ( ie : calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, scopes, various types of indicators, profilometer, CMM, ROI etc .)
- Fully and dependably inspect parts that are typically, but not exclusively produced from bar stock.
- Fully fill out Detailed Inspection Plan (DIP) for finished parts.
- Direct problems with parts to lead personnel and engineers as needed to resolve part non conformance's.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 or more years experience inspecting parts produced typically from bar stock to customer print.
- At minimum a basic understanding of GD&T.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- High attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Must be comfortable to sitting for prolonged periods of time while being able to stay concentrated on the task at hand.
- Background check required.
- Ability to lift 25 - 50 lbs.
Experience and knowledge are a plus, we are also willing to train as well.
