Maintenance Technician Dundee MI Hotel

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and hard-working Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Dundee MI Hotel, part of VP Management's hospitality portfolio. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel by maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the building, equipment, and guest rooms. This is a full-time, individual contributor role located in Dundee, Michigan. Compensation & Benefits:

`Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities including guest rooms, common areas, and equipment
• Complete work orders and conduct preventative maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Troubleshoot and respond to guest requests and concerns in a courteous and professional manner
• Ensure that all maintenance issues are resolved quickly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction
• Perform regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify and repair any potential issues
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory
• Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize tasks, and minimize disruptions to guests
• Adhere to all safety and security procedures and report any safety hazards or concerns to management
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing VP Management and the Dundee MI Hotel to guests and fellow team members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
