Production Technician needed for a biodiesel manufacturer in Adrian, MI. This is a temp direct opporutnity.

Production Technician Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $17.50 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Various shifts available

• Training on 1st shift for 1 week: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
• Schedule will be determine after the first week. In the future, the job will go to a rotating schedule working 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on working 12 hour shifts.
• Monitor all process operating parameters and utility infrastructure operations.
• Operate all equipment associated with the biodiesel process including reactors, distillation, separators, and drying systems.
• Safely manage loading and unloading of finished products and chemicals.
• Monitor and adjust operation using computerized and controlled systems to meet department requirements.
• Process samples utilizing lab equipment to obtain and record values on a computer spreadsheet and collect samples for several process areas.
• Interfacing with computer terminals, and monitoring plant functions via computer and control rooms.
• Monitor varies processing parameters and physically take readings from machinery in all parts of the plant regularly.
• Assess current operating conditions and make process adjustments as needed.
• Carry out all manufacturing operations, including large scale chemical reactions, distillation, centrifuging and vacuum- drying, as well as support activities such as operating boiler equipment, water treatment and filtration.
• Operate manual and automatic production equipment including pumps, valves, centrifuges, dryers and evaporators.

Production Technician Qualifications:

• Steel toes are required.
• HS Diploma/GED Required
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Comfortable working with Computers
• Lifting 75lbs on occasion.
• Must have strong math and problem-solving skills.
