Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, or grinders, according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure part quality.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
• Change and adjust tooling as required to maintain accuracy and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine or program errors to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code programs.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) for quality inspection.
• Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine maintenance.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and various material properties.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
• Proficiency in advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators)
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with multi-axis (4-axis or 5-axis) machining
