Nesco Resource is searching for a CONSTRUCTION SURVEY PARTY CHIEF (OR CHIEF SURVEYOR) to work on a major bridge project in Detroit, MI.

This is a Contract position thru Nesco Resource - anticipated 11 months paying up to $132k + perks

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical site surveys using a variety of equipment and tools
• Prepare reports, drawings, and perform electronic data collection
• Coordinate field staff and process field data
• Interface with Surveyors and Civil Engineers
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations of as-built documents

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Bridge Construction or Heavy Civil Construction
• Familiarity with electronic total stations, digital levels, and field data collection equipment
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe, and other ancillary Survey Software
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Effective written and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of Survey and Construction teams
• Ability to work at heights
• 2 year degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering or certifications as Field Survey Technician
