As a new Service Advisor at Community Automotive Repair in GRAND RAPIDS, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, guiding them through the entire service process. Daily responsibilities include greeting customers warmly, understanding their automotive repair needs, and clearly communicating service options and recommendations. You will handle scheduling appointments, performing follow-ups, and ensuring all customer inquiries receive prompt attention.

Accurate documentation of service requests and quote generation will be key to facilitating seamless operations and enhancing customer satisfaction. Engaging with technicians to relay necessary information and updates will also be an important part of your role, ensuring a smooth workflow and fostering teamwork. By consistently delivering outstanding customer service and solid sales skills, you will help build long-term relationships with clients and contribute to the overall success of our automotive repair team.

Familiarity with creating and managing Repair Orders (ROs), tracking parts, and maintaining accurate invoices will contribute to workflow efficiency. Additionally, prior customer service or sales experience, along with strong math skills, will enable you to discuss pricing and markups effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and multi-line phone systems is beneficial. Must have a valid Driver's License.

Primarily accountable to perform the following:

  • Customer service
  • Advise customers on repairs
  • Build repair orders
  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and texts
  • Turn inquires into appointments

Level 1 Service Advisors Skills and Expertise:

  • 0-2 years customer service or sales experience.
  • Proficient in general automotive services (maintenance items, fluids, brakes, steering/suspension, basic diagnostics).
  • Completed Elite Pro Service Sales Master University within 2 years.
  • Carries 20-32% (about 20 cars per week) workload while meeting scorecard metrics.
