Job Title: Lathe Machinist

Job Description

• We are seeking both 1st and 2nd Shift Lathe Machinists to machine details from plate or flat stock according to blueprints, ensuring exact dimensions for various shapes and materials
• The role involves producing components for the plastic injection industry, working with materials such as steel, copper, and nickel

Job Responsibilities

• Operate Haas 3 axis Lathe, including setup and tool changes
• Edit G&M codes for feeds and speeds
• Perform quality inspection of each part using micrometers and calipers
• Program on the CNC from a print using templates, macros, and parametric
• Perform routine machine maintenance and replace tool inserts when required
• Measure parts to maintain conformance
• Read and interpret blueprints

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience in CNC Lathe setup and operation
• Strong understanding of G & M codes
• Ability to read measuring tools, blueprints, and interpret prints
• Experience with Haas or Fanuc controls

This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Auburn Hills,MI.
