Salary Range: $65,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient workflow and timely availability of tools and equipment.
• Manage, maintain, and organize the inventory of tools, dies, fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Supervise and train tool room personnel, assigning tasks and evaluating performance.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the tool room to ensure a secure working environment.
• Coordinate with production and engineering departments to identify tool needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
• Monitor tool usage, wear, and damage, and schedule repairs, replacements, or preventative maintenance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of tool inventory, maintenance, calibration, and usage.
• Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in tool room processes and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a tool room or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of tooling, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and stock control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs for tooling.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
• - Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• - First Aid and CPR certification.
