Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and safety-conscious Production Associates to join our steel processing team. Team members perform a variety of warehouse and production duties, including sorting steel products, machine operation, banding materials, packaging, and preparing orders for shipment. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, and organize steel products by size, grade, and customer specifications.
• Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently (training provided as needed).
• Band, strap, wrap, and package steel materials for storage or shipment.
• Load, unload, stack, and move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment (if certified).
• Perform quality inspections to identify damaged or defective materials.
• Follow production schedules and work instructions to meet daily goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with inventory, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse tasks.
• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or steel industry experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate or learn production machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable with good attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial warehouse conditions.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, and other equipment as required.

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing and warehouse setting.
• Exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and heavy materials.
• Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety procedures is required.
