Senior Report Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an experience Senior Report Developer to serve as a Data Analyst and Dashboard Developer. This role will focus on analyzing complex datasets, generating actionable insights, and developing and maintaining interactive dashboards using Power BI, Business Objects, and BI Query to support data-driven decision making across various business areas. The position required strong analytical skills, proficiency in reporting tools, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective data visualizations.

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for business stakeholders

• Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Business Objects, and BI Query

• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for reporting solutions

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data architects, BAs, and applications developers to ensure alignment of reporting solutions with organizational goals

• Develop and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and transformation

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with standards and policies

• Provide technical expertise in reporting tools and assist in troubleshooting and performance tuning of dashboards and reports

• Document processes, data flows, and reporting standards for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing

$50/hr - $58/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in report development and data analysis within large-scale environments

• Strong experience with Business Objects and Business Objects universe creation

o Security experience in different levels of Business Objects (ex. role level security)

• Proficiency in SQL and Power BI, and BI Query

• Experience with dashboard development and data visualization best practices

• Solid understanding of relational databases and data warehouse concepts, preferably Teradata

• Bachelor's Degree - Experience with Medicaid or healthcare-related reporting

• Public health data experience
