Overview

The Process Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing processes. This position involves monitoring and optimizing production equipment, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the overall success of the production team.

JOB SUMMARY:

Operate equipment and processes to produce metal particles and particle assemblies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follows safe working practices.

2. Responsible for the quality of product produced thru training and work instructions.

3. Follows all company policies, rules, and procedures.

4. Uses hand tools, measuring equipment, calculators, and computers.

5. Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.

6. Helps troubleshoot equipment and quality concerns.

7. Maintains reports and related paperwork as required.

8. Suggests improvement ideas and plans.

RECOMMENDED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

1. High School Diploma or GED.

2. Basic math skills

3. Familiar with a manufacturing environment.

4. Ability to work with others and in a team environment.

5. Good verbal and written communication skills.

6. Good problem solving and analytical skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Able to lift 50 lbs.

2. Standing, walking while performing duties

3. Occasionally required to climb, stoop, or kneel.

WORKING SCHEDULE :

1. 1st shift – 7am-3:30 pm

2. 2nd shift – 3pm-11:30 pm

3. 3rd shift – 11pm-7:30 am

4. Must be flexible, as senior employees have priority to displace newer employees to other positions and shifts.

5. Overtime and weekends as required.

COMPENSATION:

1. Starting wage: $19.50/hr

2. 2nd shift premium $1.00/hr, 3rd shift premium $0.50/hr

3. Melting department premium $1.50/hr

4. Overtime- time and half. Sundays- double time.
