Structural Stress Analysts
:
Join Our Team
We are looking for an experienced Structural Stress Analyst to be part of our Turbomachinery Engineering Team . This is a hands-on opportunity to support the structural integrity of high-performance aerospace components—including fans, compressors, combustors, nozzles, turbines, seals, and pressurized cases—for both commercial and military gas turbine engines.
You'll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including mechanical design, aerodynamics, manufacturing, project engineering, and test groups. From early concept through product delivery, you'll own and influence the structural robustness of some of the industry's most advanced turbomachinery hardware.
What You'll Do
- Conduct structural evaluations using finite element analysis (FEA) for stress, vibration, and thermal performance
- Lead or support material, component, and engine-level testing for validation and characterization
- Provide timely engineering dispositions and production support for structural issues
- Investigate test anomalies and failures using root cause analysis
- Mentor team members and help enhance the organization's structural analysis capabilities
- Develop tools and methods to boost accuracy, efficiency, and innovation in analysis
- Clearly communicate technical results and recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers
What You Bring
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience in structural analysis or related aerospace engineering fields
- Solid understanding of structural mechanics and fatigue, fracture, and creep in turbomachinery
- Strong proficiency in FEA tools (especially ANSYS) for static, vibratory, and heat transfer analysis
- Working knowledge of gas turbine components and manufacturing practices
- Familiarity with FAA 14 CFR Part 33 certification processes (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate technical findings effectively
Additional Details
- Relocation assistance is available
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
(Tested substances include marijuana, cocaine, PCP, amphetamines, opioids, and alcohol)
Why Join Us?
You'll be part of a dynamic, cross-functional team that thrives on solving challenging engineering problems in the aerospace industry. This role offers high visibility, technical impact, and the satisfaction of seeing your work perform in real-world flight environments.
