Job Description

Omnex, Inc., a global consulting, training and software development company ( based in Ann Arbor, MI, has significant opportunities for highly qualified consultants in the following areas:

Technical Competency

• Have relevant new product launch, production/manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of automotive OEM or tier-1 experience in the quality assurance field.
• Competent in the implementation and use of automotive core tools PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) – 4th edition and AIAG/VDA, MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Control Plan (CP), standardized work instructions
• Other Quality Tools, (8D, CQI, NADCAP, EPS, GD&T, Tolerance Stack, Blue Print Reading)
• Competent knowledge of AIAG, VDA, and related standards and requirements.
• Auditor certification from a third-party, a plus (Exemplar Global, IRCA, ASQ, etc.)
• Relevant certifications such as American Society of Quality (ASQ) or equivalent.
• Quality Management Systems Development, Training, Auditing and Implementation in two or more standards that include are bonus

  • IATF 16949:2016
  • ISO 13485:2016
  • AS9100D:2016
• Auditor background and experience is required
• Auditor certification from a third-party a plus, (Exemplar Global, IRCA, ASQ, etc.)
• Experience with teaching internal or lead auditor courses helpful
• Familiarity and knowledge of implementing AI based systems at work are an added bonus
• Prefer a technical degree or equivalent.

Soft Skills and Other

• Self-starter with ability to work with little supervision.
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills to sort and categorize data and follow-up as required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills - written and verbal.
• Experience of having worked with global teams
• Ability to travel onsite to supplier locations as needed
• Prepare clear and professional reports
