Salary Range: $44,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations according to specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect welds for quality and adherence to standards.
• Set up and maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding process issues.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety procedures.
• Operate and monitor welding machinery.
• Identify and report defective materials or equipment.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary welding certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining welding equipment.
• Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and practices.
• Experience with quality control and inspection of welds.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated welding systems (e.g., robotic welding, orbital welding)
• - Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods (e.g., MT, PT, UT, RT)
• - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• - Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints
• - Experience with welding process simulation software
