OB/GYN Hospitalist

Description

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan offers an excellent full-time opportunity to join our new OB/GYN Hospitalist program. We are seeking a BC/BE OB/GYN physician.

The OB/GYN department currently includes 6 hospitalists, 24 generalists, 4 Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, 29 midwives, and 7 womens nurse practitioners. The physician will work collaboratively with other care team members to provide high-quality, compassionate care, including coverage for labor and delivery, high-risk obstetrics, and gynecology consultations. Responsibilities include working 12-13 shifts per month, providing patient care, collaborating with midwives, residents, and specialists, and performing urgent surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and 2 years of clinical experience
• Current Medical License in Michigan
• DEA and DPS registration
• Ability to perform clinical procedures, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including examinations, treatment, and education
• Collaborate with healthcare team members
• Prescribe treatments, order tests, document patient records
• Participate in quality improvement and educational activities
• Supervise mid-level staff and assist with patient inquiries

Shift

First shift, 40 hours per week
