CNA / Caregiver

Job Title: CNA / Caregiver (TRINITY HEALTH)

Job Summary

Trinity Health is seeking a compassionate and dependable CNA / Caregiver to provide high-quality, person-centered care to patients and residents. In this role, you will assist with activities of daily living, support nursing staff, maintain a safe and comfortable environment, and help ensure dignity, comfort, and respect for every individual.

$19 - $35 PER HOUR

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient/resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Assist with feeding and hydration as directed, including monitoring intake when required.
• Take and record vital signs and basic measurements per care plan and facility protocol.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and report changes in condition to the nursing team.
• Support residents’ comfort and safety, including fall prevention and maintaining a clean environment.
• Assist with transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics and safety procedures.
• Promote independence by encouraging safe self-care within the individual’s abilities.
• Observe and report symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, skin issues, and behavioral changes.
• Follow infection control practices, including PPE use, hand hygiene, and proper cleaning procedures.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (or state-required equivalent) preferred; required where applicable.
• Experience in caregiving, long-term care, assisted living, hospital, or similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant skills, infection control, and patient safety practices.
• Ability to accurately document and communicate care updates.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to respectful care.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients safely according to training and facility policy.
• Ability to respond promptly to call lights and safety concerns.

Schedule & Work Location

Full-time, part-time, and per-diem opportunities may be available. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on departmental needs.
