Quality Assurance Engineer

A Quality Assurance Engineer for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Portage, MI area. This is a technical quality assurance role focused on designing testing procedures, performing root-cause analysis on defects, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure product reliability.

responsibilities:
- Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection.
- Ensure products are free of flaws and function according to design specifications.
- Design and install sophisticated testing equipment to maintain quality levels.
- Perform detailed product testing and analysis to minimize defect and failure rates.
- Analyze reports and defective products to identify trends and determine root causes.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions based on data analysis.
- Collaborate with supplier representatives to resolve quality problems and improve supplier performance.
- Work independently as an individual contributor with minimal supervision.
- Apply professional expertise and judgment to solve technical problems based on previous experience.
