HVAC Technician Dispatcher

Job Title: Dispatcher Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can effectively work with diverse groups, particularly construction workers. The role involves managing purchase orders, tracking project schedules, and coordinating employee assignments. The Dispatcher will handle varying volumes of service calls, requiring a strong understanding of different job types and the ability to assign suitable technicians to each task. Responsibilities + Provide a positive and productive working relationship with all customers, vendors, and outside contacts. + Answer and handle phone calls as needed. + Communicate customer requests to technicians and managers. + Process quotes and enter information into the system. + Inform immediate supervisor of any customer-related complaints and concerns. + Interact with operations managers regarding customer contracts. + Update and maintain customer status reporting requirements. + Coordinate and type customer proposals. + Maintain customer and project files as assigned. + Maintain database and tracking information. + Assist in maintaining the service vehicle program. + Help with billing questions when necessary. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + 1+ year of HVAC dispatch experience + Proficiency in handling administrative duties and working with customers. + Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Strong written, phone, and oral communication skills. + Excellent attention to detail. + Ability to work well with others. + Effective time management skills. + Experience with Lotus Notes. + Knowledge of AS400. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Southfield, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
