Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during night shifts, ensuring safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Monitor resident conditions, document changes, and communicate concerns to the interdisciplinary care team
• Perform skilled nursing procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges with clear documentation and warm introductions
• Collaborate with CNAs, therapists, social services, and families to create and follow individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Michigan (or compact license acceptable where applicable)
• BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Previous experience in long term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently during night shift hours

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of long term care regulations and resident rights
• Skilled in medication administration, IV basics, and common nursing procedures
• Comfortable using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clear clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with residents and families
• Strong time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Ability to identify and escalate clinical changes promptly
