Bookkeeper / Office Manager | Jenison, MI

Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, vendor payments, and customer collections.
  • Manage general ledger entries, reconcile bank and credit card statements, and prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Administer payroll processing, including timecard collection, wage calculation, and submission of payroll taxes.
  • Oversee general office operations, manage supplies, equipment, and coordinate vendor services.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, assist with new hire onboarding, and support HR administrative tasks.
  • Assist in tracking manufacturing costs and inventory data entry to support production accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including sales tax filings.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop/Online and core accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, payroll, bank reconciliations).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or office management role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage office operations, including supplies, vendor relations, and administrative support.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., NetSuite, SAP Business One).
  • Basic understanding of cost accounting principles or inventory valuation methods.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing-specific payroll processing or HR administration.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience assisting with supply chain or purchasing administrative tasks.
