Location: Lander, WY

Schedule & Benefits:

Full-time with health benefits, paid vacation and sick leave

State of Wyoming retirement

Salary Range: $76,000 -- $86,000 DOE

The Fremont County and Prosecuting Attorney's Office seeks a dedicated Juvenile/Prosecuting

Attorney to handle matters within the juvenile justice system in Fremont County

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate, file, and prosecute all aspects of juvenile delinquency, court diversion, Child in

Need of Supervision (CHINS), and neglect proceedings

Engage in plea negotiations, diversion, and restorative justice practices where appropriate

Prepare and file legal pleadings; appear in court regularly

Maintain organized case files and accurate documentation

Minimum Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Current member of the Wyoming State Bar in good standing, or awaiting admission

Strong written and oral skills

Demonstrated interest in juvenile justice, rehabilitation, and/or public service

Ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement, juvenile court staff, probation

officers, schools, social services, and victims

Experience in criminal law, juvenile law, or a related field preferred

Growth & Additional Duties:

Opportunities to expand into misdemeanor and felony prosecution

Hands-on learning through close collaboration with experienced prosecutors
