Multi‑Axis CNC Machining Programmer & Set‑Up Technician

If you love turning CAM strategies into immaculate parts, this role pairs programming with on-machine execution. You’ll prepare set-ups, manage changeovers, and run milling centers while safeguarding quality every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
- Author CNC programs and produce clear work instructions for repeatability.
- Operate CNC milling equipment (core focus on 3‑axis; any 5‑axis experience is a plus).
- Set the correct tools, holders, and offsets as defined in the program.
- Use and navigate control interfaces to start, monitor, and optimize operations.
- Measure parts, identify issues, troubleshoot processes, and make accurate adjustments.
- Follow documented procedures to ensure top-tier cut quality and consistency.
- Perform set-ups, changeovers, and routine loading/unloading between runs.
Must-Have Capabilities
- Materials: proven results cutting aluminum, steel, and kirksite; experience with molds and dies.
- Controls: practical knowledge of Fanuc, HAAS, Mitsubishi, and Heidenhain; Toshiba TASNuc 999 familiarity is a bonus.
- CAM: proficiency with WorkNC and PowerMill programming.
- Mechanical mindset with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Blueprint literacy, including feature interpretation and datum strategies.
- Competence in shop math and moderate analytical tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of CNC cutting experience.
- Demonstrated CNC programming experience.

- Activities include walking, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing.
- Lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
