Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor supports maintenance methodologies to increase technical skills, drive loss elimination, improve tool capability, increase factory efficiency and reliability, enhance asset utilization, reduce costs, and ensure adherence to Quality, Food Safety, Plant Safety, and Environmental standards.
Schedule: 5:00 pm – 5:30 am
Responsibilities
- Lead equipment maintenance according to manufacturer and internal specifications by ensuring completion of preventive maintenance (PMs), initiating work orders, and supporting rebuilds and supplementary repairs
- Provide guidance and support in troubleshooting PLC-controlled and automated equipment
- Use our computer maintenance management system (CMMS) to assign work orders, run reports, and ensure resources are allocated effectively
- Manage the preventive maintenance program for the assigned shift, ensuring work is completed, audited, and continuously improved
- Assign technicians to jobs to meet maintenance demands efficiently and minimize downtime
- Work alongside maintenance staff on repairs as needed
- Provide leadership through supervision, coaching, training, and technical support; conduct performance reviews, reinforce performance expectations, and administer progressive discipline when required
- Participate in pre-shift meetings, team assignments, and audits
- Assist with staffing plans, hiring, and onboarding of new employees
- Complete additional duties and projects as assigned
- Follow all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Requirements
- 5–7 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of employee safety, food safety, and quality programs (HACCP, SQF)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems; ability to communicate data clearly and effectively
