Event Assistant

About the Role

Willow Greenhouse is looking for a reliable, upbeat, and hands-on Events Assistant to help bring our workshops, markets, and seasonal events to life. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative, and community-focused environment.

From setting the stage behind the scenes to interacting with guests during events, you’ll work closely with our Events Coordinator to play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with event setup and breakdown , including arranging tables, chairs, displays, and signage.
• Help prepare materials and spaces for workshops, vendor markets, and special events.
• Provide friendly, welcoming support to event attendees.
• Work collaboratively with our Events Coordinator to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces before, during, and after events.
• Jump in to support other areas of the greenhouse (such as cashiering or customer service) as needed.

Schedule & Availability

• Flexible availability is required
• Must be able to work:
• Weekdays for event setup and occasional weekday events
• Weekends for events
• Hours will vary based on the events schedule (typically 10–25 hours per week )
• Opportunity for additional hours in other roles throughout the greenhouse

• Willingness to jump in wherever help is needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds
• Comfortable with moving, lifting, and setting up folding tables and chairs
• Able to be on your feet for extended periods during events
• Able to tolerate working in greenhouse conditions and outside
