Salary Range: $54,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis milling machines using CAD/CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding strategies for various materials and part geometries.
• Perform program simulations and verifications to ensure accuracy, prevent collisions, and optimize cycle times.
• Create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and other manufacturing documentation for machine operators.
• Collaborate with design engineering and machinists to troubleshoot production issues and improve part quality.
• Implement process improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and production costs.
• Maintain and manage CNC program libraries and tooling databases.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM) for 3-axis and multi-axis milling operations.
• Expertise in G-code and M-code for programming, editing, and troubleshooting CNC mill programs.
• Ability to accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Comprehensive understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, workholding strategies, and material properties.
• Proven experience with CNC mill setup, operation, and process optimization.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection tools to verify part accuracy.

Bonus Qualifications

• Prior experience as a CNC Machinist or Operator
• Experience with 5-axis programming or advanced machining strategies
• Proficiency in designing custom fixtures or specialized tooling
• Familiarity with CMM programming or advanced metrology techniques
