Position: Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health (Inpatient) SNSN SN
Location: Grand Rapids, MI.
Shift: Evenings – 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Duties:
• Provide inpatient psychiatric nursing care for behavioral health patients.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Support de-escalation, safety, and therapeutic milieu management.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary behavioral health teams.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning support.
• Document care and clinical observations using Epic EMR.
Requirements
• Active Michigan RN license required at time of submission
• BLS required
• Minimum 2 years behavioral health nursing experience required
• Pediatric behavioral health experience required
• Must be able to work in inpatient psychiatric setting
• Ability to function as charge nurse when needed preferred
• Strong de-escalation and crisis management skills required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Every other weekend availability required
• Up to 40 hours/week guaranteed with potential to pick up additional shifts
