Incoming Inspection Technician | Fremont, MI
Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against specifications.
- Verify accuracy of accompanying documentation, such as Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and material certifications.
- Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials according to established procedures.
- Utilize and maintain various inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Record inspection data accurately in quality management systems or designated logs.
- Initiate and support Material Review Board (MRB) processes for rejected materials.
- Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues related to incoming materials.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling plans and basic quality standards.
- Experience accurately documenting inspection results and identifying non-conforming materials.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and utilizing quality management software.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Familiarity with ERP or MES systems for quality data management.
- Basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or 8D problem-solving methodology.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management system principles.
