Field Service Technician | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of complex manufacturing machinery and systems.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Install, commission, and test new manufacturing equipment at customer facilities.
• Provide technical support and training to customer operators and maintenance personnel.
• Document all service activities, repairs, parts used, and customer interactions accurately.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and customer site requirements.
• Manage and maintain service vehicle inventory of tools, parts, and diagnostic equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong electromechanical troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and industrial control systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a willingness to travel extensively.
• Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with specific PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) or SCADA systems.
• Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools (e.g., thermal imagers, vibration analyzers).
• Specialized knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities for service enhancements or upgrades during client visits.
