Schedule & Work Model:

• Shift: Days.
• Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (8 hours/day).
• Weekend Requirement: Varies.
• On-Call: Rotational.
• Setting: Community and home-based services.

Must maintain a flexible schedule and cell phone availability.
Must be available to clients 7 days/week, 24 hours/day during on-call rotation.

Compensation:

(Grant-based position – pay is dependent on licensure & experience. Non-negotiable.)

• Full License: $30.90 – $40.89/hour.
• Limited License: $28.68 – $37.91/hour.

Position Overview

The Child & Family Therapist provides mental health treatment and case management services to children and families in home and community settings.

This role requires delivery of Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO) services with fidelity to the model, including behavioral interventions targeting school and family functioning. The therapist coordinates care across agencies and helps families build sustainable support systems post-discharge.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide weekly family therapy using the TFCO model.
• Coach caregivers on behavioral and parenting strategies.
• Engage families in change-oriented treatment.
• Identify and address barriers to engagement.
• Deliver behavioral therapy targeting school and family behavior.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, physicians, and clinical providers.
• Communicate with schools and community partners.
• Advocate for families to promote independence.
• Link families to community resources.
• Assist with psychiatric evaluations and medication review scheduling.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and training.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Deliver crisis intervention and case management.
• Make protective services referrals as required.

Travel:

• Mileage reimbursement at IRS standard rate ($0.70/mile) when using personal vehicle.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
• Active Michigan licensure as one of the following:
  • LLMSW / LMSW.
  • LLPC / LPC.
  • TLLP / LLP / LP.

(Limited licenses require appropriate supervision)

• Must meet Child Mental Health Professional requirements within 120 days.
• Minimum 1 year experience treating minors and families.
• Strong cultural competency and family-centered approach.
• Ability to work within complex family/community systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Favorable driving record.
• Must obtain chauffeur’s license within 30 days.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

Preferred Experience:

• Family therapy models (structural, strategic, functional).
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
• Community mental health.
• Team-based care.
• EMR experience.
