This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You'll Work On
- Own overall performance and results for multi‑shift manufacturing lines, mentoring and coaching production supervisors accountable for shift execution.
- Ensure leaders understand how individual shift performance impacts total line and departmental results.
- Model and enforce quality, safety, compliance, and regulatory standards (Abbott policies, FDA, OSHA, GMPs, and global requirements).
- Establish, track, trend, and continuously improve financial and operational KPIs (e.g., OEE, labor, downtime, units/hour, CIP, material usage).
- Manage departmental budgets and financial performance (up to $12MM), including labor, material losses, and cost‑savings initiatives.
- Directly supervise teams, lead staffing, ensure training and role clarity, and provide coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Lead productivity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma and Root Cause Analysis.
- Drive effective change management across own and cross‑functional teams; align teams to site and division strategies.
- Serve as a senior site leader: deputize for manager, lead escalations, present to leadership, and support audits and site visits.
- Build an inclusive, high‑engagement learning culture focused on talent development, succession planning, and sustained performance excellence.
You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, food technology, technical or engineering
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing leadership
Demonstrated excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills

Advanced problem-solving skills
Finance and budgetary management accountability
Project management skills
Strategic planning skills
Experience managing other Production Supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years' managerial experience
