Job Title: Microsoft 365 Administrator (Hybrid Onsite)
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 1 year with possible extension
Note: Accepting local candidates within 90 mins of Lansing, MI ONLY. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start. There is NO REMOTE ONLY option.
Interview Process: Candidates must be willing to come onsite (Lansing, MI) for interviews. A screenshot photo of candidate will be required for interviews, and a vendor must be present at the beginning of any MS Teams interview to validate the candidate.
Job Description:
This position supports the Client’s Microsoft 365 (M365) implementation as a member of the team responsible for monitoring, investigating, recommending, and implementing updates to the M365 environment. The role requires technical expertise in configuration and administration of the M365 suite at the enterprise level. M365 products within scope include SharePoint Online, Teams, Planner, OneDrive, Outlook, Forms, Loop, Viva Engage, and new tools as they become available.
Primary Duties:
- Monitor updates to M365 products within the Government Community Cloud (GCC).
- Analyze impact of product updates to the SOM M365 tenant in GCC.
- Review product configuration options and recommend settings aligning with SOM standards, policies, and licensing.
- Create technical documentation for communicating recommendations or serving as job aids to end users.
- Participate in working sessions with the SOM M365 product team working group and with Microsoft resources supporting the SOM.
- Support SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, and other M365 tools alongside the Enterprise SharePoint team.
Top Skills & Years of Experience (Desired):
- M365 administration and configuration.
- Experience configuring and administering M365 in Microsoft GCC.
- Ability to investigate impact of product changes on enterprise M365 implementations.
- Experience preparing technical documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
- Experience creating/managing content in SharePoint and Teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
