UNIT: Level 2 North – Medical Surgical / Stroke Unit

UNIT OVERVIEW

• 28-bed Medical Surgical unit
• Patient population includes:
  • General surgery
  • Vascular surgery
  • Bariatric surgery
  • Plastic surgery
  • Trauma
  • Primary stroke unit for the hospital
• Fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong learning opportunities
• Patient-centered, safety-focused care model
• Active Unit-Based Council (shared governance)
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and supportive orientation

SCHEDULE

• Every other weekend
• No call required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years Med Surg experience – REQUIRED

PREFERRED

• Prior travel experience

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Skills checklist (RN specialty) completed within 1 year
• Michigan RN license verification required
  • Provide LARA + Nursys
  • If license hit exists, include written explanation for manager review
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
• References: Not required
• Physical copies of certs only required if listed above

ELIGIBILITY NOTES

• Former McLaren employees are not eligible for contract roles until 6 months post-employment
