Salary Range: $46,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including Wire and/or Sinker EDM.
• Load, adjust, and optimize EDM programs to achieve precise part geometries and surface finishes.
• Select, prepare, and install appropriate electrodes, tooling, and workholding fixtures.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components using precision measuring instruments.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of EDM machines.
• Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and material usage documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) for quality control.
• Strong understanding of EDM principles, processes, and various material properties.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for EDM programming.
• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced metrology equipment.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures for EDM machinery.
• Prior experience with multiple EDM technologies (e.g., Wire, Sinker, Hole Popper).
